Concentration Statement Draft

Each day people use mirrors to see their own reflections. I wanted to use this idea to observe how reflective surfaces and other objects affect each other and portray these images through different pieces. I realized that I enjoyed drawing from observation while drawing glass bottles that were near a mirror. I wanted to take this "twist" of adding reflections to my observational pieces.
As I progress with this concentration I hope to* experiment with different kinds of reflective surfaces, someone would not expect and may distort the reflected image. For example, while trying mirrors I would also want to test aluminum foil, misshapened mirrors, and colored reflective surfaces to see their effect.
As a result of my concentration I hope that people might see all of the different "mirrors" around us and the effect they have on the images of the world.

*The future tense will be the past tense when I actually complete the pieces.
